My gran had a box however or nameless and even numberless cottons and i'm currently trying to debate if they are worth keeping.

Just need more drawers, i'm running out of space to keep them all!Rachaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17128754833604987577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1096314476893239291.post-84541604487842150632009-11-20T16:51:38.847-05:002009-11-20T16:51:38.847-05:00What a fantastic stitchery, I would be all over th...What a fantastic stitchery, I would be all over that like butter on bread, too! :)

One trick I've been doing for as long as I recall to help keep track of what threads I'm using on a give cross stitch is to take a sturdy piece of card stock or light cardboard (one front or back side from most average breakfast cereal boxes usually works well), cut small gashes vertically (1 to 2 inches deep) into it all around the sides, wind the thread I'm using for a project around the "branches" of card that have been created between the notches, and to then label (in ink) the names or label numbers of the hues I'm using below each colour of thread. This method works like a charm and eliminates the need to worry about fussing with keeping skins intact, as they've been wrapped around the card stock. (I hope this method makes sense, I've never described it before. Let me know if I wasn't clear enough.)

Have a beautiful evening, honey!
♥ JessicaWitchcrafted Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02992822472797191121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1096314476893239291.post-71154835578721662742009-11-20T10:50:14.620-05:002009-11-20T10:50:14.620-05:00Wow!
