Knitting Wishing

Every time I attempt to learn how to eat it beats me - I'm certainly better at using the one hook and crocheting. But then I come across vintage knitting patterns like this undated Reynolds Designer Collection of sweater and cardigan patterns and I want to try and try and try until I could make something as pretty. Then again I want their hair styles and make up just as much. But being a good girl I'm sticking this on my etsy store with some other vintage knitting patterns in the hope they all find a new home with someone that can knit!

Then again that red cardigan certainly could keep this Yorkshire girl warm in the -17 degrees C temperature we had here in metro Detroit this week - cold indeed!

  1. I wish I knew how to knit properly. It seems like all the pretty things out there to make are knitted!

  2. I am constantly kicking my own butt for not learning to knit earlier. I made it one of my "resolutions" last year to learn and Im proud to say I did learn. I've only been knitting for a year and am taking on making a jumper. I'm sure if you're patient with yourself you can learn quickly.

  3. Oh this makes me want to knit too! Like you I want their hair and make up too... and especially that yellow jumper. If I was you I'd definitely find it hard to sell these!

  4. Knitting and I . . . we've never seen eye to eye! Unless I'm fully supervised, then I seem to be able to knit away like a demon, but the moment my teacher steps away everything turns . . . horrible!

  9. I can highly recommend a book called Chick with Sticks. It's a beginners guide to knitting, it taught me everything!
