MUA starry night palatte

I thought it would be fitting to review the MUA palette I brought myself while i'm still holding my give away. After realising I was on the verge of turning 25 with hardly any eye shadows at all, I thought something had to be done about it. Following all the blogs that I do, I've noticed a marked liking for palettes, particularly ones by MUA, which seeing they are at my end of the market I thought it would be worthy of checking - not many pennies would be lost if I went back to my non eye shadow ways.

From the Pro range I was most attracted to this the Starry Night palatte which features pans of colours from palest of greys through to denim blues, purples, pinks and some verging on black - colours merely reflecting the tones of clothes I tend to wear outside of work. As with most of the MUA range they are all highly pigmented, they blend effortlessly together and while the shimmery my be a bit youthful and "cheap" to some, I find it slightly refreshing.

Retailing at superdrug for only £4 its well worth trying, not being an expert I can't rate it against its higher end counterparts but i'd definitely consider purchasing another similar palatte.

Have you tried any MUA palettes? Which other brands do you rate?

Remember you can still enter the MUA heaven and earth palatte give away

  1. I really love this pallette. The colours look gorgeous and I dont think there is a single colour I would avoid!! Thats always a good thing. I'm gutted that none of my local Superdrugs (I have 3) stock the MUA professional range!!

If you could do swatches, that would be great!!! :) xxx

  5. they are well worth the money considering how long they last and for £4 you can't really go wrong. I've heard they can be really hard to get your hands of - my local Superdrug only got the MUA Professional range due to having a refit, before that they just had a wonky cardboard stand lol. It's a shame they don't do their stuff international though, i think i'll have to add it to my stocking up list before moving or just beg for british bloggers to do swatches!

  6. £4 sounds like a right bargain! I'm very unadventurous when it comes to eyeshadow, green or turquoise and that's it. Great review. x

  8. I love glittery shadows, and for the price, this looks like a great palette with a nice range of colors to choose from. I really like darker neutrals, so the greys and blues in this palette are really appealing to me!

  9. I absolutely adore MUA and this palette's been on my wishlist for a while, I think you've definitely tempted me into investing the £4, haha. I love their 'Heaven and Earth' palette, and their blushers are AMAZING, probably my favourites xx

  10. @ Nidinh - hopefully moving after I [hopefully] get my visa, so November time this year if everything works out okki.

@ Laura - you can't really fault the price, and they have amazing staying power.

@ Francesca - i'm definitely tempted to get another palette, not really sure which because they all look so good. I love their nail varnishes too.

  11. Such pretty colors. I'm not one to wear eye shadow that often. But I love these colors and the name! So I might need to put a little more effort into doing my makeup.
