Ink'd

I adore looking and hunting out tattoos on real girls, girls like me that have embraced the ink in a kinda hell yeah we don't care what you think kinda manner. It doesn't make us any less feminine like so many people like to claim - we use it as a part of expressing ourselves, adding something to our outer shell. Of embracing design and enjoying life.

I got my first tattoo when I was 19 and added to it when I was 20 and then got my dragonfly last year at 23. I crave more though - a special love bird and a ribbon bow are the next too planned ones - more on them as and when. The best way for inspiration is to use the web, not to seek out designs [them stencil semi trashy ones] but to look for real pictures, of real tattoos on real girls - that way you get the best impression of which styles you love, which colours/patterns work well alone and together and different areas to consider.
Have you got any ink? Would you?

  1. I love the little birds on the girls shoulder and the Chanel ones - I think they're those ridiculously expensive transfers (about £50) by that Chanel bought out a few months ago?

I'm still searching for inspiration of what to get my awful 15 year old chav tatt covered with - I'm thinking hummingbird or bow.

  2. Yeah I remember seeing a cheaters way of doing the chanel of just using a liquid eyeliner to draw it on rather then a transfer. Saying that they are the best transfers i've seen in a long time. I use to draw my tattoo designs on me, or at least attempt to to get the general idea, was always tricky with the back tattoo's though.

  3. I really dislike it when people say that tattoos make a girl look unfeminine. OK, I can understand how a bad tattoo could make someone look a bit...tacky, but good tattoos definitely do not make someone look less than feminine.

I really want a half-sleeve, and I have the design in my head and it looks awesome. I think when I've finished this essay, I'm going to out and buy me a sketch pad and some pencils and get my drawing socks on :)

  5. I love the planets down the girls spine, and the birds.
I have 3 tatts, all pretty hidden and all have meaning. I love stars so have a star behind my ear (hate the fact that stars are becoming a bit chav though!!)

  6. I got my tattoo right after my high school graduation ceremony. It's a dragonfly that I designed myself, and one of the antennas is in the shape of my initial. I love those Chanel ones above x

  13. I love the birds one on the girls back. I want a tattoo so badly but I'm more worried about my parents finding out or the safety reasons. I definitely tho will get something in the future. I love it too.

  14. There's some beauties there. I've got a sleeve design in my head (Indian themed with peacocks, Ganesh and dancing girls) but need the cash first.
I've got a tribal sun on my back and my eyebrows are tattooed on, too.
