VINTAGE: Sewing Box

Every girl needs a sewing box right, but when I was back in the UK I never seemed to have one. We found this fabric covered sewing box in Frankenmuth way back in November for a total steal of a price and I just love the colour of the green inlay. It's now full of crafty doodles, patterns, crocheting stuff, cottons and sewing notions and sits delightfully on top of my sewing table.

  1. Stunning! I particularly adore the pattern on the box. You seem to be finding such great vintage buys in America!

    1. There seems to be way more antique malls or flea markets then there ever was in the UK, or at least in East Yorkshire. Some of them can be really pricey but if you keep your eye out then you can get some great bargains. I mean this sewing box was $7 which is £4.60ish which I kinda doubt you could find anything similar in the UK, sadly.

    1. Yeah its one of the better ones, saying that the sally army had a lot of old wicker and expanding wooden ones which were really nice too.

    1. Thank you, I love that its not perfect too, there's some marking on the fabric and the clasp is loose but it just reveals its been loved and used lots in its former life.
