LIFE: 14 Things for 2014

Source: WallsinHD via Hana on Pinterest
2014 will be the first year I've actually written down a set of, well let's not call them resolutions - perhaps intentions for the year ahead. As the clock strikes midnight tonight, the next 365 days are ones which I hope will be a little life changing - my green card for US residency needs renewing (stressed already), we hope to find and buy our first house and I want my ebay store to grow even more.

Wants, wants wants.

I want never gets.

A step I aim taking in 2014 is to try and be more organised, from bill paying, blog posting to knowing people's birthdays. Organisation is, I hope the key is trying to make me feel less stress and anxious about what's head (something I have issues with, a lot).
 Read more books
Crochet another afghan
Buy a house
Grow my ebay store
Get healthy and loose weight
Decrease stress levels
Be a better blogger (and be more confident in my blog)
Go on holiday somewhere new in the US
Renew my green card
Finish watching all the Star Trek series
Take more photographs
Work on my body confidence
Get tidier and more organised
To be happy

Whatever your intentions are for 2014 - feel free to share some below!

I hope of all you have a happy new year - I'm very much looking forward to getting back to sharing some more of our Michigan and Pittsburgh adventures from the back end of 2013 (yeah total backlog going on at this end).

  1. Good luck with all the things you want in 2014. I never make resolutions either but this year I have a few things I'd like to make happen or become more involved in. I hope that you have a fantastic New Year and the 2014 is everything you deserve and more :)

    1. Yeah normally me and resolutions never go well together but I thought seeing as there's so much I want to see happen and try and make happen, it was worth a try! Whether any of them happen is another matter completely!

    1. I think just being happy gets so lost behind everyone's needs to do this this and that, changing whatever it is about them that they forget to just live life and find happiness!

    1. Yeah I've struggled with body confidence since leaving university and piling the weight I lost there back on - moving to the US and working from home *really* hasn't helped. I need to change my mind set and be more accepting of what my body is and of who I am. Hopefully that will happen this year - it's about time I got over it!

  5. Happy (early) new year! Being organized is always a goal of mine so I can identify with that. I go through organizational bursts but then things start to get out of order again... gah. Anyway, good luck with everything! And with the Star Trek of course :P

    1. Yeah i'm the same, it's hard with working from home that I just have piles everywhere that are becoming less and less organised by the week. I tried the to do list route and then lost those and yeah, i'm hoping that Star Trek diary helps - it couldn't make it worse that's for sure!

  6. I definitely want to get healthy, rid of some of my ongoing stress and just overall be happy. Earlier this year I used to be so negative but I'm learning to look on the bright side of things! Happy new year, I hope you have a great one! xxx

    1. I tend to dwell on things much longer then is good for anyone which doesn't help my stress levels. Hopefully I'll find a way to tune out.

    1. Thank you for stopping by and your comment, I've never really got on well with my body, but this will be my 28th year with it and it's probably darn time I should like it a little more!
