Sunday's, well I try to keep them lazy. They normally call for reading, sewing, endless marathons of Law & Order, CSI Miami, maybe even some NCIS. So I guess you could say that yesterday's #photoanhour was a great way of capturing some down time - the normal Sunday routines of watching TV, food shopping, eating something bacon related and everything in between.
9am // after crawling out of bed, turning the heating on and falling over two hungry cats, Sunday mornings call for some read (this instance Visit Detroit and Gone with the Wind) and a mug of green tea.
10am // got around to looking for something to do which I thought would be for filled with a quick attempt at tidying up the office, which really turned out into just moving random piles around to another part of the floor
11am // long way around to going food shopping via Target, the husband's on the look out for the new Transformer toy releases and I'm basically his enabler. But Target's been pretty poor showing for Transformers lately.
12pm // trolly pushing time around Kroger for the weekly shop - lots of food and lots of coupons
1pm // because bacon for lunch
3pm // after going back to Target (don't ask) and missing 2pm, we got back just in time for a photo of our front door somewhat decked out Christmassy with a wreath.
4pm // inspiration has been a little lacking, and it's hard to get down and write something half decent for the blog lately, so i started writing up this post while watching NCIS marathons on USA.
5pm // taking a screw driver to Optimal Optimus - he lights up, or at least he use to, the battery is dead and the screw is worn out.
The rest of the night was basically spent on the sofa, watching endless TV shows, cuddling the kitties and eating pizza.
How was your Sunday?
Aw what a nice relaxing Sunday, they are always the best. Love your wreath, I really want one! x

Eh it's a super cheap one, found for like $2 at an estate sale that I jazzed up with an old huge bow I had lying around!
DeleteLove your wreath! Mine looks a bit sad...I bought a cheap plain wreath and just added a bow on top. I guess I'm not that craftsy. Also, yes for bacon for lunch. My Sunday was good...filled with relaxing and laundry, and attempting to catch up on Vlogmas YouTube videos :)

Yeah we stuck a huge load of washing in too, I don't mind the washing part, hate folding it all afterwards!
DeleteTarget and Tea...looks like my kind of day! What kind of green tea do you like? Personally I'm a fan of the Target brand (surprise) Simply Balanced, but I just got the Harney & Sons Green Tea with Coconut and it's extremely yummy, too :)

I've been drinking a lot of the Private Selection range from Kroger - I think it's a citrus green tea, they have a tasty oriental white tea too that goes down nicely!
DeleteLazy Sundays are where the fun is at! And Lazy Saturdays too ;)
ReplyDeleteEvery time someone mentions the supermarket on Sundays I'm just sat here going "WHY BELGIUM WHY?!?!? let's open the store on Sunday!!"
Yes to the motivation... or rather no. I tried blogmas, I failed, I don't even care. I just keep marking festive posts as mark-as-read haha. I'm a little bit more in the spirit of the holidays now that I have a tree, but I still don't care for the million Christmas/holiday related blogposts.
I think I've got some blogging mojo back now, now that I can just blog whenever I want to! Stupid blogmas.
I don't mind the Christmas crafty and food posts but everything else is making me yawny. It must be hard to push out a post every day, because it's not just all the writing, it's all the commenting and the social media that comes with it. I know I have a blog every day for a month thingy in my 30 before 30 but i'm not sure if I have the will power to pull one off!
DeleteLazy sundays are the best! I always try and make my Sundays lazy :) one of my housemates is my best friend and we do nearly everything together so when we're both awake we crawl into my bed and have breakfast and tea in bed every Sunday morning and watch Dexter or something. When we eventually get up we usually make soup or something and then just doze around the house all day :') xo

I use to do a lot of gardening on a Sunday for a couple of hours, but since the end of autumn that's stopped - too chilly and not much really to do! Good day for catching up on some of the house chores mind.
DeleteSounds like my kind of Sunday. I try to be as lazy as possible on the weekends- that probably sounds terrible, but it's nice to relax sometimes!
ReplyDeleteSaturdays tend to be our busy days - hitting estate sales, sometimes doing the gardening but in the colder months they, well Sundays for sure tend to be a lot more lazy.
DeleteSounds like a great Sunday! I've totally gone back to Target like 5x in one day before... Lol! And yay for couponing! I need to subscribe to my newspaper so I can start couponing more.

We ended up going to Target twice on Sunday, but when we're properly hunting for Transformers we'll hit up to 3 and then throw in Toys R Us. The hunt is real. I don't actually get the papers for coupons, the store we get our groceries in has a pretty awesome online thing for adding them to your store card plus all the ones they send you in the mail.
DeleteI love reading this posts and I've tried in the past to do it on my blog but I always forget to take the pictures and my life is not very exciting ! hahahaha
ReplyDeleteGreat post and I love reading your blog ! :)
I think everyone thinks their life is more boring then it is! But I also think everyone has that nosey side that they love seeing what others get up too!
DeleteLazy Sundays are the best! We have been pretty busy the last few weekends so I am definitely in need of a lazy day real soon!
ReplyDeleteChristmas doesn't help when you're trying to be lazy does it?!
DeleteI know I'm late replying to this but yep, Saturday 17th January for the next one! :-) xx
