VINTAGE: Night and Day

Ginger Rogers is a goddess. Her figure, her acting, her beauty, her everything was truly divine and not only do I cast green eyes of envy over her gorgeous presence and figure, but additionally over her delightfully feminine dresses. Not more so then those within the 1934 film The Gay Divorcee.
Every girl needs a sexy little negligee, something utter feminine, ultra gorgeous. Hiding things is often far more sexual then revealing everything.
This dress has given me far too many ideas for wedding dresses ... someday!

  1. I agree totally, Miss Rogers was a lady in every sense of the word. These dresses are spectacular, yet another reason to watch all those old movies. And yes that last confection would make a beautiful wedding dress! Hmmm!
Wishing you and your family a very happy Christmas!

  2. Don't get me started. She is amazing. And the dresses too. When I go vintage shopping and I see a great wedding dress I just think ahh I can't wait to get married. I NEED to wear that!

  3. My absolute favorite quote ever is

"Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Austaire did except backwards & in heels".

I'm not sure who said that first but she's totally got it all.

  5. Oh, I'm so in love with Ginger too! She had such personality and style! And she did comedy while being sexy - not easy to do.

Her dresses in that film are so marvelous - I also love her style in Swingtime and Roberta.
    She's perfect!
