My Able Grable - Miss Scarlett Street Blouse

I'm the kinda girl that rarely ever wins much, BUT via Able Grable [the most delightful vintage 1930s and 1940s reproduction collection with their very own blog]. Through spotting the "name the new house model" competition, which I just had to suggest Betty in honour of my favourite Betty, Ms Betty Grable. In addition to be hot like the pin up star that Betty was, was to be credited as an "able Grable".

And, as you guessed my suggestion won! And for my prize I was delightfully presented with the most divine Miss Scarlett Street black satin blouse, which arrived yesterday. With the excitement of a child at Christmas, I just adore the amazing cut, shape and texture of this blouse, the images and the blouse I just had to share - even if my hair was having a funny day.

My bow went a little floppy and one sided!

Clothes list:
Necklace - Sliverado
Blouse - Able Grable
Trousers - H&M

Thank you Able Grable!!

  6. Congratulations! I love the bow, it looks very pretty. I can envisage the blouse with a high waisted skirt too :)

  7. Ooh it's very similar to a top I bought about 12 years ago (!) from new look of all places, it was midnight blue satin bias cut with a low v neck, and I put one of my Grandmothers old paste brooches in the centre, it's been in storage for ages, but now I remember it I can't wait to get it back!

Congratulations on winning :D it looks beautiful on you, and I agree, it would look wonderful with a high waisted skirt too :)

  8. Love the top! I've never won anything myself, but that would be an amazing first time win. :) I'm picturing a high-wasted pencil skirt as well to complete the vintage look. Love the hair also, one of these days I'll take the time to figure out how to do something like that with my hair.

  9. Yes, i'm really going to have to go on a vintage hunt for a highwaisted skirt to finish off the luck properly!

I was rather lucky with my hair that day, normally only one side of my hair ever wants to curl properly.
